About Tammy

Tammy grew up in St. Joseph, Missouri. She obtained her B.S. in Industrial Engineering with honors from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Following college she worked for Allied-Signal Aerospace Engineering in Kansas City before attending law school. She graduated with her law degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City, third in her class. Tammy started her legal career in the trial department of Stinson, Mag & Fizzell, P.C. where she subsequently was elected equity partner. At Stinson her practice was focused on representing defendants in litigation and employment counseling. Tammy subsequently formed and co-owned Brous Horn LLC where she represented employee-plaintiffs in employment matters and whistleblowing or qui tam litigation.

In her 25 years of litigating cases, Tammy has participated in countless successful mediations on behalf of her clients. In 2016 she formed Tammy Horn LLC to provide her services as a mediator. Tammy has been approved as an Outside Mediator by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, Mediation and Assessment Program. She has been awarded an individual "AV" rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available.

Tammy lives in Overland Park, Kansas, with her husband Bob and their three teenage sons. She and Bob also share another four children who have grown and left the nest but remain close to their hearts. She enjoys spending time with her large and crazy but tight-knit family, cooking delicious and nutritious meals, practicing yoga, traveling and reading. Tammy is an RYT200 registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance.
